The most famous of all of the Trumpy built houseboat yachts was the Sequoia. The yacht of Presidents. First
commissioned in 1925, this vintage Trumpy designed luxury cruiser was the boat of 9 Presidents from 1933 until it
was sold in 1977.
It is befitting that Sequoia should be saved for our most luxurious room. It is a king sized,
pillow-top bed centered in a spacious room finished with a marvelous burnt sienna. A comfortable, high-back chair
sits in front of the working gas fireplace, while collectible artifacts highlight a large vestibule overhead.
There is a small, private balcony and a wonderful corner writing desk, as well as an antique rocker. The large
bath with sea blue wainscot contains the original claw foot tub, which has been completely refinished almost to its
original condition. The modernized, reproduction plumbing that completes the tub, comes with a rain-maker
shower head.
